Merry Christmas!
What a wonderful week we had with our families! Of course, we missed a few very important people and we hope to see them before the end of the year too! Despite John's non-stop work schedule over the weekend and holiday, he found a way to keep his eyes open and fight the urge to get some very needed sleep long enough to visit Rochester and Jackson for some festive celebrations during the few hours he was away from the hospital! He is such a trooper for his family and it is just one of the many reasons we love him so much! We started with an early celebration in Rochester so all the kids could be there. We had a wonderful Italian dinner and did the annual secret Santa exchange.

Everyone had a great time except maybe the person who had to unwrap 10 different "levels" of bubble wrap, cardboard, duct tape, wrapping paper, envelopes, etc....to get to a simple, but much appreciated gift card. Now who would do something so "grinch-ly"? Especially since it was his FIRST and maybe ONLY secret santa exchange!
