Something's Fishy!

Don't worry, you didn't forget, it's not too late...he's not 30 yet! But he will be soon and he got to celebrate early. Back to the place where it all began. No, not the place of his conception 30 years ago..gross! Back to the city where I met this handsome, almost 30 year old, studly doc (he was only a med student then, but I saw his potential)! We escaped for a short trip to Chicago, special thanks to my parents for watching Nathan, to have a little fun, eat ourselves sick and play with my fish-eye lens (at least we have an excuse for why we look so weird in the pictures...lens distortion).

First there was the long car ride which gave us both the heebeegeebees!

The IDOT (kind of like idiot) robbed us by charging us 2X the amount of IPASS users through the tolls that are about every 3 miles! We had a yummy lunch at Sweet Tomato (we love that place for a mimimally healthy meal), met John's friend Deanne for a few games at Game Works, then headed downtown.

Since the weather was nice given that it was January, we walked to Navy Pier for a little fun...

Browsing the magic shop...those are "magic hands" for those of you who are not familiar with the art of illuuuuuusion!

And John's favorite thing...a movie...Night at the Museum at the IMAX!
